I am all excited to go to Bali again. The last I was there, it was good 3 years ago with my ex-company for company trip. I almost drowned at Kuta Beach together with 3 of my other colleagues (Veron, Mei, and my boss, Fel). We were fooling around at the shore, the next thing we know, we passed the red flag. And before we can react, the waves came over us and took us further into the sea. I swam as fast as I can to the shore, but the waves outbeat me. (Then I thought: I should have built up my stamina in swimming!!!!) After much attempt to stay on the surface but failed, I was drinking too much seawater, and couldnt lift up my head. I thought I was drowning. My mind was blank. I was thinking : “I think I am dying.Is this how a dead person feel before they die?”. Suddenly, I just lift one of my hand up. Next thing I knew, I was pulled by a surfer who came to us for rescue. He took me on the surf board and I just relaxed on it while he ride us back to the shore. When I was back to the beach, I realized Mei made it back, but the rest is still in the sea. She was crying while hugging me hard. Thanking god that I am save. I was still, blurred. But I know alot of people are at the beach then, standing and looking into the sea. Mei keep saying: ”Shit.They are still in there!” *eyes welled with tears* 15 minutes later, the surfers got the rest of us back. Later that day, I got to know that Fel had to hold on to Veron, (who dont know how to swim) cos she was drowning. He told us that if the surfer didnt come in another 1 minute, he had to let go Veron or both of them would have drowned together. 

Apart from superb view,memorable times and places to visit in Bali, that drowning incident was a painful experience for the 4 of us. That somehow brought us together for awhile.  But when we came back to Malaysia, it didnt hold us long. The incidents changed some of us alot. Mel and Veron resigned after 6 months of the incident. I guess some of us was in trauma. After that company trip, there are no longer any company trips for us. Boss always said we are tight of budget. In actual fact, I think he is afraid one of his employee died during the trip. Bad Bali experience.

Thinking again, what happen if Fel, our boss died in there? I think we would have come back to Malaysia jobless. Hah. That will be wonderful. I resigned from the company last year after finding him didnt keep his promises to his employees. I wonder why he changed so much too.

Well, that was 3 years ago. This year, I wanna break that fear. I want to go back there and enjoy myself.

The Eye on Malaysia which runs from 6th January 2007 till 31st December 2007 has changed TTT quite abit. Formerly with only 300 patrons per day, TTT now holds approximately of 3,000 people to 30,000 people per day!

So what is this Eye on Malaysia all about?
Eye on Malaysia is part of the highlights for “International Water Sky Spectacular 2007″. Eye on Malaysia is a 60 metre high structure simillar to the “London Eye”. With 40 gondolas with a capacity of six passengers per gondola, each ride will take approximately 10mins – 12 mins. All passengers will be able to experience a breathtaking 360 degree panorama over 20 kilometres of Kuala Lumpur. Yes. We will be able to see the Petronas Twin Towers from here.

What are the other highlights aside Eye on Malaysia?
Other highlights are the imaginative images on screens of water, mesmerizing laser beam sequences, awesome pyrotechnics, choreographed water ski performances, breathtaking wave rider stunts and the captivating Malaysia ‘Postcards’ display. Throughout 2007, a series of other international special events are planned to premiere within KL’s new entertainment precinct at Lake Titiwangsa.

How much will it costs per person?

For adults, expect to pay RM15 per ride while RM10 per child. If you dont wish to share the gondolas with someone else, you may book a gondola for RM100 only.

What are the best time to go for this ride?
Best time is on the night of Friday, Saturday and Sunday where the highlights will be held from 9:00pm onwards. Be prepared to go early! The queue will takes you hours to reach the gondolas if you are late. But if you just want to see what is this Eye on Malaysia all about, feel free to go anytime of the day.

What are the other activities in TTT?
Located at Jalan Kuantan, this lake garden has lots of recreational sites. There were man-made beach that is located at one of the corner of the core lake where the boat riding, kayak-ing. But all these are temporary closed at the moment. Other than that, there is a children’s playground, a huge space for theatre and other activities.
At the south of TTT, there are remote control car race track, horse track, football field, a Seafood Restaurant.

What are the nearby landmarks?
TTT is very near to the Istana Budaya, National Gallery, Sutra Dance Theatre and National Library.
